How long have you been a raw vegan?
I’m not exactly sure… perhaps I have been a live foods vegan for two years or so?
…Since heeding a few sage doctors’ advice for treatment of Ulcerative Coltitis, Celiac Disease, and other lifelong hereditary conditions by which I am affected (regrettably posterior to sundry unsuccessful procedures/experimental trials/medical treatments/erroneous diagnoses). Pardon the vague nature of my response; one day I’ll be able to venture into more explicit detail. For me personally, live foods and holistic medicine have been life-savers, though.
What are you wearing today?
Gifted Tabitha Simmons wedges (the pink and purple Josephines), a dress of reclaimed fabrics from The Reformation (on Ludlow Street), a Prada cardigan, Pamela Love necklace and rings, a Lanvin hat, a Louis Vuitton leopard-print scarf, Wolford Satin de Luxe opaques, Maggie Moos organic socks
It may be a little too personal, but do you attend synagogue often? Are you very religious? I’m a fellow Jewwy! xxx
Not nearly as often as I did growing up. Since moving to NYC, it’s been difficult to become assimilated in a congregation without my family at my side (bumping into family and lifelong friends has always been a major draw for me to attend services). That said, although I’m Jewish by birth and have been Bat Mitzvah’d, I heartily enjoy learning about divers belief systems… I especially gravitate toward specific tenets like Ahimsa (Buddhism) and Kabbalic wisdom.

Certainly.

As of late? Local winter greens and radishes with a bar of Dr. Cow’s Aged Macadamia Tree Nut ‘Cheese’ http://www.dr-cow.com/products/aged-macadam-nut-cheese.html (I’m allergic to cashews) topped off with first cold-pressed unfiltered extra-virgin olive oil infused with white truffles and specks of pink Himalayan sea salt!
