…And so I thought it only fitting to send the Tea Party candidate and Delaware’s Republican nominee for the Senate Christine O’Donnell along a congratulatory gift basket from Babeland — as it is her constitutional right, after all. The enclosed note [screenshot above] does stipulate that she only ought to partake in her present after familiarizing herself with that Constitution and Bill of Rights which she claims to “hold so dear” and in such high regard.

(Plus committing those Amendments to memory could come in handy with the whole running-for-the-Senate-as-a-vigilant-upholder-of-the-Constitution thing.) Enjoy your gifts!

The fringe candidates in our country, as bankrolled by huge corporations — and in some cases, single donors operating sub rosa via “non-profit” schemes — are leveraging fear and playing on the fanatical periphery’s brewing racism. This discriminatory fearmongering is only escalating in tandem with the Tea Party’s pandering ascent of the Republican Party.

Today’s political atmosphere is, in my view, like a surreal déjà vu of McCarthyism… meets Jim Crow xenophobia/nativism… hyped up on Glenn Beck crazy juice.
And so I beg you fashion folk: please vote!
