Paging all procrastinators and “tastemakers” (golly, I do sort of despise that term):
Join me on the most fun and distracting program in the world, Pinterest!

Seth Meyers killed it last night at the 2011 White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Spot-on brilliant.
And since I originally hail from Scranton, Pennsylvania, I can confirm with a mix of discomfiture, mirth and total certainty that Seth’s Vice President Joe Biden/Scranton Olive Garden joke (at around the 17 minute mark) rings true… too true, perhaps!
People often ask me on twitter or formspring—rather than in, you know, life—about the sort of music that I listen to, my favorite albums, and so forth.
Well I can divulge with 100% sincerity that I have literally listened to Andy Milonakis’ latest EP Gazpacho every single day since its release last month. And that I know each song verbatim.
I promise you: Gazpacho’s bon mots of lyrical genius—produced to some crazy-sick beats—will be the most prolific expenditure of $4.99 that you will ever pony up [sample below].
“Lemonade Bubblegum” and “Goat Cheese & Watermelon Salad” are definite highlights, in my book.
Also, just so you have been properly forewarned, some may consider the EP ‘offensive’ or otherwise NSFW.

Celebrity PSA of the Day: A bunch of Jews, non-Jews, and Lindsay Lohan come together in support for the American Jewish World Service in this Judd Apatow PSA rather understandably not approved by the American Jewish World Service.
[fod.]
I have certainly done my fair share of fundraising for AJWS over the years and, to be frank, this video would have been golden back in the day.
Having to explain that the American Jewish World Service granted nearly all funds to gentiles and that the organization was often the first to respond to disasters — hey, us Jews are not exactly known for being the most prompt people — was an all-around hassle and a nearly unwinnable hurdle… especially when coming from an eight-year-old befreckled Jew (me) just trying to win a Sabbath School fundraising challenge.
But can you imagine if Picard and Lilo were on our team? Mark my words: Had this PSA (and YouTube, for that matter) existed circa 1997, we would have made it rain donations for AJWS!

I laughed straight through Armando Iannucci’s political mockumentary In the Loop starring Tom Hollander, Mimi Kennedy, James Gandolfini, Gina McKee, and Steve Coogan.
“Larry David: What’s the level of anger here? What am I dealing with?
Cheryl David: Well, I’d have to say at least an 8.7.
Larry: 8.7? That’s not that bad. I thought it would be at least a 9.
Cheryl: It was a 9. Then you broke that lamp, and the crazy woman screamed at you, and it got you some pity points.
Larry: Pity points. That’s fabulous, I love pity points. But how can I get to a 7? I know a 6 is out of the question, but is there any way I can get to a 7?”

(I have, on an altogether embarrassing number of occasions, left plenty o’ party with an eerily similar dialogue.)
A final Father’s Day gift-giving idea: Give manure ($12) from Oxfam Unwrapped!
I went to Oxfam Hunger Banquet last night in DC. It was great.

Take a cue from Ron Artest: The next time that you find yourself accepting any kind of award live on national television, don’t forget to thank your hood and your psychiatrist. In the same breath. Really.
I once checked this out of the library. I only wish I were kidding.
Although in my own defense, I never did get around to reading it.

So here’s a select snippet of tonight’s instant message session with my best friend John Jannuzzi (of Textbook). Note our sagacity. And that we chat in #Twitterspeak. And references to Miss Porter’s School, Joy Behar and The First Wives Club. #PSTheRestisProbablytooInapporpriateforReblogging #TeamWeLeaveFashionPartiesEarlytogoEatattheDuck
Alec Baldwin + shotgun + John Krasinski = quite likely among my top ten favorite cinematic moments in history. No, most definitely.
