Carol & Humberto — directed by Lisa Paclet

Carol Lim and Humberto Leon (my idols) have ascended the Kenzothrone!

I have all the respect in the world for Carol and Humberto’s visionary, funloving partnership—along with their ideals upheld at Opening Ceremony as an  A+++ multifarious institution—and am eager to see how they kick off a fresh new chapter to Kenzo’s legendarily bold past.

Truth be told: I live in Opening Ceremony’s innovative house collection (and inspired exclusive collaborations) and am still in awe of the soaring scope of their creative orbit—ranging from the most avant-garde design to the most evocative references to the coziest, coolest vibes.

I am honored to be a little part of the OC friends & fam.  And I cannot wait to see Kenzo’s history revitalized and pepped up through the pioneering lens of Carol and Humberto.  x

Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Resort 2012

Alas I have a kooky-early calltime tomorrow morning… but to hold you over, here’s a sneak peek [final walkthrough] at the stellarsauce CS x OC resort collection—think very rah-rah varsity (highlighted by a collaboration with Vision Street Wear) meets la-di-da eyelet (drawing influence from eighteenth century undergarments)—presented earlier this evening in the gym of a parish youth center on Mulberry Street.

For your future shopping wishlist pleasure, I also tweeted a few Hipstamatic prints from the show here, here, here and here.

Blast from the past: Behind-the-scenes on the Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Reds lookbook shoot in Brooklyn (David Armstrong, 2009) can be found over yonder!

Step, Clap, Go!, 2011   Bad News from the Bronx produced by OCTV

To whoop it up in commemoration of the Target GO! International program’s fifth anniversary, the slick masterminds of Opening Ceremony recruited the Bronx’s very own Bad News champion step team to devise this celebratory routine with each member tricked out in re-released archival looks from the GO! International Designer Collective—which has hitherto collaborated with 17 designers including Luella, Paul & Joe (by Sophie Albou), Behnaz Sarafpour, Proenza Schouler, Libertine (by Johnson Hartig), Alice Temperley, Erin Fetherston, Jovovich-Hawk (by Milla Jovovich and Carmen Hawk), Rogan, Richard Chai, Jonathan Saunders, Thakoon, Rodarte and Zac Posen.

Launching this evening exclusively at the Ace Hotel, Target is resurrecting 34 of the past five years’ best-loved dresses for a limited time… so Step, Clap, Go (and get ‘em) nationwide on March 13!
